Songo River Queen

The River Queen waits patiently at her dock to get unwrapped for another season of cooling lake tours, "photo ops" for tourists' cameras, and fun-filled events for local groups. But will this be her last summer?

The crew of the service barge help ready the Queen for the new season. Note the height of the crane. Which should the business owner choose, Long Lake or Brandy Pond? And how will property owners on the other lake get their docks, boats and retaining walls repaired then?

The MDOT is proposing a fixed bridge whose roadway will be 7 feet higher than the current one.
